Using the Mentoract™ Reader

Start the Mentoract™ Reader by selecting Start|Programs|Mentoract|Mentoract Reader from the task bar. Open a downloaded eBook by going to File|Open... and finding the eBook file, which should end in either .oebzip or .zip. (There is no need to unzip the file.) You may change pages by pressing the left and right hand icons on the toolbar.

If during installation you allow the Mentoract™ Reader to associate itself with OEB Zip files, you may launch the software directly by activating any OEB Zip file (.oebzip) on supported platforms.

Mentoract™ Reader is also able to read the following file formats:

• OEB package files (extension .opf, MIME type application/x-oeb1-package+xml)
• OEB document files (extension .html or .htm, MIME type text/x-oeb1-document)
• OEB Zip files (extension .oebzip or .zip, MIME type application/x-oeb1-package+xml+zip) which contain an OEB package and all related documents

The eBooks downloaded from the Mentor Bookstore are OEB packages and documents, compressed in an OEB Zip (.oebzip) file, and can be loaded directly from the Mentoract™ Reader — there is no need to unzip the file.
